At FIDI, we take the health and safety of all conference attendees very seriously, and will try everythingin our power to ensure that the 2022 FIDI Conference will go ahead following all applicable COVID-19 safety measures and the French regulations.
WHAT MEASURES WILL FIDI TAKE DURING THE 2022 FIDI CONFERENCE?
With the numbers of infection decreasing and an overall improvement of the health situation in France, the French authorities have announced that it will no longer be necessary to show a vaccination pass to access public spaces such as hotels, restaurants, bars, cinemas, museums, etc. It will also no longer be mandatory to wear masks anywhere except in public transport, hospitals or medical institutions.
As it is not mandatory to show a negative test before entering the hotel, FIDI will not impose a mandatory negative test to attendees registering to the conference. We do however strongly advise everybody to perform a COVID-19 self-test before travelling to the FIDI Conference. On site, free self-tests will be available at the medical station. Anybody with symptoms or who suspects to have been in contact with a positive case is strongly encouraged to do a self-test. FIDI will not impose the use of a surgical mask indoors.
In case you test positive at the conference venue, we ask you to immediately inform the nurse or FIDI Events team or staff (using the following emergency number: +32 470 100 960), and then to self-isolate. The FIDI Secretary General and FIDI Events team will take the necessary measures to inform anybody who has been in close contact with you and will ask everybody to monitor any symptoms and to regularly self-test
There will be a medical station at the conference from Sunday through to Wednesday. A French State Registered Nurse will be available from 11:00 to 15:00 each day, located near the registration/help desk.
You will be able to get medical advice, collect free self-tests and book a PCR test for your return journey with the nurse at a cost of 100,00€ and 60,00€ for a lateral flow/antigenic test. Tests will be performed discretely at the venue and results are usually through in 12 hours, the nurse can confirm exact timings.
FIDI has purchased a number of self-tests which will be available on site at the medical station for delegates to use free of charge. Please note that these self-tests do not replace officially recognized PCR tests, necessary for international travel, green pass, etc.
Traffic light wristbands will be available at the Registration desk and we would encourage all attendees to take one so you can communicate the level of social distancing you are comfortable with.
Hand sanitisers and masks will be available throughout the hotel.
